Alex Bogusky, the former ECD and partner of one of the most acclaimed advertising agency in the world, CP+B, decided to quit his career in Advertising.It was such a huge shock for the industry, for Bogusky is often referred as the Steve Jobs of the industry, earning a salary close to $2 million and he was also named Creative Director of the decade by Adweek.
His reason? Simple. Because he has a stand, advocating a ban on advertising to kids, which according to his boss, "is not compatible with the business we are in". His reply to his boss was a simple note saying, "I resigned like you recommended"
Now finally there's someone in the advertising industry whom I can call my hero.
