Sometimes good enough is really good enough

I learned an interesting and shocking fact today.

In learning to speak a foreign language, it only takes six months of concentrated effort for a person to be able to speak correctly 95% of the time. Whereas to be correct 98% of the time requires 20-30 years of experience.

Look back at most of the the things we do in our daily life. How often we have done something good enough and later spent countless of hours to perfect it and realised that it only made a little difference.

The pursue of perfection in everything is a journey without a destination. I think it's wiser to just focus on being great for a few things that really matters, and learn to accept just good enough for most other things.
