Christianity is not a religion

Today a friend asked me an interesting question, "can I have a relationship with God but don't want to become a Christian?"

I can so relate to that, when I first came to church, I vowed that I'll never want to become a Christian. My whole universe turned around when someone told me that Christianity is not suppose to be a religion, but a relationship with God.

It was when I fixed my focus on a relationship, ignore religious thinking, God became real in my life.

I sincerely pray that with my little explanation, she would be able to look at this question in a different light and one day she will get to experience the realness of God in her life.
